Gold Excellence - Renovation - Kings Court Shopping Center Redevelopment

Mars Properties came to Merritt Construction Services in the beginning of 2021 to undertake a major renovation of their 35,000-SF retail shopping center located at 9808-9840 Philadelphia Road in Rosedale, MD. With 70% vacancy, Mars hoped that an updated façade, improved accessibility, and the creation of shell=-ready spaces would help attract new tenants and retain their existing tenants.

Originally built in 1974, the shopping center had not been updated since inception and needed modernizing. The plan called for new exterior facades, ADA parking and sidewalk updates, a 2,500 square foot tower addition and renovating of vacant spaces.
